LEMON AND GARLIC BUTTER BAKED TILAPIA


White fish, lemon, garlic and butter is a classic combination. This tilapia recipe is simple, flavourful, and requires minimal effort. As well, because the tilapia bakes in a lemon garlic butter sauce, it remains super moist and doesn't dry out. While the fish is baking, prepare a side dish, and there you have a simple and quick dinner!


Ingredients:

-4 large tilapia filets

-1/4 cup of butter, melted

-3 tsp olive oil

-4 cloves garlic, minced

-1/2 lemon, zested and juiced

-parsley to serve


Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 425 F.

2. Mix the butter, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest in a bowl.

3. Pat the tilapia with a paper towel to make sure it's dry, then place them in a baking dish which has been lightly sprayed with cooking spray/oil.

4. Season with salt and pepper, then pour the melted lemon garlic butter mix over top of the tilapia filets.

5. Bake for 15-20 minutes (once it's opaque and flakes apart).

6. Serve with the pan juices and top with chopped parsley. Enjoy!
